The breakwater . . . doing what it does best

    Hope Cove Breakwater takes a lot of punishment but it is essential for the village and all of us who love the area whether local or visitor.   The harbour wall protects not just the beach but the village beyond.













The weather and the sea state are not always as benign as this - sadly!

















  1. Without the breakwater there would be virtually no beach, hardly any sand and the cliffs would be battered into submission, crumble and tumble into the sea.

     

 it is important to realise that the Breakwater is crucial for the survival of Hope Cove as we all know and love it.

Friends of Hope Cove is a Charity set up to raise funds for the improvement and maintenance of the breakwater.
