Pretty good.  Nice view, everyone liked that.  Lots of bedrooms & space.  We all had a great time.  We came here to scatter my grandma’s ashes in the sea which would inherently be a sad occasion, but Hope Cove and the house made it happy.  Well situated with a short walk down to the beach and nearby pubs and a shop (with ice cream!)  The table football / foosball table was put to good use.  Thank you, we really enjoyed it.

Everyone loves staying here, it has a wonderful view and lots of rooms to play in. We have lots of fun at the beach so we’re really glad we’re near the beaches. There are lots of near-by pubs and shops. We love staying here every year. THANK YOU!

Nice windowsd with good chairs to sit and look at Hope Cove.  Lovely walk over the headland to Oceans Restaurant.  Great to be in such a nice village with friendly pubs and shop, also being very close to Salcombe and Kingsbridge.  Even if the weathers bad the view is still spectacular :)

We had a very happy 3 generational week celebratingmy 60th birthday.  Wonderfil view meant that we could enjoy the location, rain or shine.  Lots of bucket & spade time, bit of paddleboarding, walks along the coast path in both directions.  Enjoyed delicious pizzas in the Cove Café  & cream teas at the Hope & Anchor.  Thank you

Great place to celebrate 2 'big' birthdays.  Loved the stunning view, great location, spacious living / kitchen / dining area.  Weather wild and rainy but we still has sunny walks in both directions.
Thank you to Mark for sorting heating boiler problem.

Lovely comfy beds too!

Loved the open plan dining / sitting room and stunning views.  House has everything you need including beach toys for and games.  Wonderful comfy beds and bedding.  Perfect weekend for stay for adults and kids (aged 0 - 8yrs).
So close to the village, beach and coastal path - we will definitely be back!
End of May / start of June 2021 . . .

A year delayed due to covid but we have just spent a glorious week (end May/June 2021) at the most beautiful house, Knot In, at Hope Cove, South Devon. The website says it all; the constant reference to the view, I admit, slightly annoyed me but oh my gosh – as we walked in to the living area of this house every one of us gasped. It was stunning and the sunsets that we saw most evenings were really amazing. It’s true!! We decided that what the view provides is the constant reminder every moment that you are on holiday – even if you are just sitting doing nothing looking out (which we did a lot) it is so uplifting. The house itself is fantastic and we all felt very much at home immediately (we were a party of 11, with 5 adults and 6 kids) as there is SO MUCH SPACE and traditional charm; the kitchen is well-equipped with 2 fridges and a pantry, large dishwasher, plus the aga … a real bonus, warms the whole place but is adjustable as it’s electric; tasteful décor throughout and all very comfortable (especially the beds – the first time I have EVER not looked forward to returning home to my own bed!!); fantastic utility room with large, deep belfast sink, vital for wet suits returning from the beach; oh and a small freezer; the bathrooms are all modern (upstairs one a bit tricky if you are tall).   >>>>>

>>>>> . . .  As regards space inside for dining we realised that you could seat at least another 6 people as the small card table extends. What did we do? We were already familiar with the area and knew Hope Cove (“Granny, it’s our most favourite place in the whole world”) which is small but utterly delightful and walking distance - down the hill; up on the way back but not a huge distance to walk for anyone who might be 70!! It was half term and the beaches were busy but we discovered the joy of walking down at about 5pm for a swim, then back for a hot shower! We walked to South Milton – perfect; we drove to Challaborough, the beach for finding sea glass; visited Salcombe (busy) and half of us came back to Kingsbridge by ferry; had the most amazing fish and chips at Beesands (not so easy to find and a stony beach but it’s quieter and the seafood from the small takeaway café excellent). We also ate at the Lobster Pot Bistro, two minutes’ walk – the pods overlook the cove, magical. We had a great time ….. WE LOVED THIS HOUSE – A LOT…… THANK YOU ……. to the owners especially who were extremely obliging at every step, were generous with their time and were available, supportive and helpful throughout all our dealings.
(Oh, and the piano was a wonderful bonus for the eldest grandson ☺)
